I was asked to be a part of an exhibition in Denver, Colorado this month and design a film poster for my pick of an Asylum film. After much thought it was decided to work up something for the film called Dragon Crusaders. Luckily this was on my Netflix queue, so I gave it a whirl. The camp is amazingly hilarious. I was sold. Without further ado I’d like to introduce my poster:

DENVER- Snakes on a Train / Films of The Asylum Limited Edition Poster Show
Titanic II? The 18 Year Old Virgin? Transmorphers? Abraham Lincoln Vs. The Zombies? These are the films of the Asylum, and for the first time they will receive custom, limited edition posters done by the country’s best screen printers.
Octopoda Art Blog and The Studio12 Art Gallery have teamed up to bring the world the limited edition posters that the movies of The Asylum have so long deserved. For the show an unbelievable collection of the most sought after and highly regarded screen printers from across the country were gathered, asked to each chose a classic Asylum title and design a limited edition collectible poster. The opening reception will include a number of the artists on hand as well as a full range of The Asylum movies available for purchase as well live music from Nashville / Denver based Hip Hop artist DJ King Pinnacle (along with special guests), David Latt (co-founder of the Asylum / director / producer) will be on hand and beer will be provided Oskar Blues Brewery.
There will also be a closing reception Sunday April 28th at 7:00PM at the Bug Theater (3654 Navajo Street, Denver CO) that will feature a screening of Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. Admission to the closing reception is free for anyone who has purchased a poster (or purchases a poster at the event) or a $3.00 per person admission ($5.00 for two people).
